Our Family Law team is a key part of the firm, supporting clients through some of the most sensitive and challenging moments of their lives. We are now looking to recruit a Family Solicitor to join our Rugeley office and contribute to the continued growth of this important department.
The Role
As a Family Solicitor, you will manage your own caseload of privately funded family matters, delivering clear, practical, and empathetic advice. You will work closely with colleagues in a supportive environment that values professionalism, collaboration, and high standards of client care.
This role can be tailored to suit your level of experience, offering development opportunities for junior solicitors and autonomy for more senior practitioners.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing a varied caseload of private family law matters, including:
- Divorce and separation
- Financial remedy proceedings
- Private children matters
- Cohabitation and unmarried couples disputes
- Pre- and post-nuptial agreements
- Providing sensitive, pragmatic advice with a strong focus on client care.
- Conducting negotiations and representing clients where required.
- Drafting correspondence and legal documents to a high standard.
- Ensuring compliance with regulatory, risk, and firm procedures.
- Contributing to the development and profile of the Family department in Rugeley.
- Building strong relationships with clients and local professional referrers.
About You
- A qualified Solicitor (England & Wales) with experience in private family law.
- Able to manage files independently from instruction to conclusion.
- Strong technical knowledge with excellent attention to detail.
- A confident communicator with a calm, empathetic manner.
- Commercially aware and client-focused.
- Keen to be part of a collaborative, supportive team.
